primarily presented in textual format, but underlying data is generally available.
Some data can be downloaded in spreadsheet format.

This specialized website contains raw data compiled
by governments, non-governmental agencies, and researchers related to all
aspects of terrorism. Data can be searched by topic, geography, or variable.
Publications have links to researchers' data. As with all ICPSR sites, data
can be downloaded for free for manipulation in SAS, SPSS, or Stata.
NACJD makes raw data available for analysis, searchable
by topic or keyword. It obtains data from the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics,
U.S. National Institute of Justice, U.S. Office of Juvenile Justics and Delinquency
Prevention, and the U.S. Bureau of Justice Assistance. Under "Reports and Publications" there
are also links to publications produced using NACJD data. As with all ICPSR
sites, data can be downloaded for free for manipulation in SAS, SPSS, or
Stata. Online analysis is available for selected data sets
Through the Uniform Crime Reporting system, the Federal Bureau of Investigation collects data nationwide which is disseminated in several annual publications: Crime in the United States, Hate Crimes in the United States, and Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted, plus other miscellaneous publications. Data is presented in tables which can be downloaded into Excel.
